LUSAKA, ZAMBIA MAY 17 2022 – Youths for Crypto in partnership with United Africa Blockchain Association (UABA) and Probase hosted a launch event short courses program for varsity in Lusaka.
The event was held at the University of Zambia’s (UNZA) Great East Road Campus on the 15th May. Youths For Crypto intends to train about 200 students in the two weeks duration of the training program at the Great East Road Campus.
Emmanuel Mangalashi, Youths for Crypto Training Lead, said, “This time we have partnered with UABA to train students in Blockchain at UNZA. In the next phase we plan to take this to other universities in the city of Lusaka.”
Dominic Kapalu UABA Zambia Chairperson said, “We want our young people to be equipped with the knowledge that blockchain training brings. Therefore, our plan is potentially to expand the varsity blockchain outreach across the nation.”
UABA’s One Million for Blockchain Campaign (1MB) aims at reaching 1 million people in Africa through educational awareness campaigns. It has chapters in Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Togo, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Yaliwe Soko, UABA Global Chairperson said, “it is through partnering with organizations such as Youths for Crypto that varsity campus outreach could be scaled. We are encouraging other Universities to reach out. We are ready to support and equip them with the necessary skills. ”
Speaking at the same event, the entrepreneur Elias Chipimo encouraged the participants to take advantage of the opportunities that would arise around them. And that entrepreneurship was more than just for commercial outcome. But a mentality of applying initiative, being proactive and resilient in the pursuit of goals.
And in a gesture of support for the training program, the UNZA physics department has made available the computer lab facilities for use during the duration of the course at UNZA.
This is a good initiative that will improve the live of poor Zambian to develop. I for one I would like to have a full knowledge about block chain.
